“Are mini splits loud to run?” 🤫

Honestly… not at all.

Most people are surprised how quiet they are — especially compared to older heating systems. The indoor unit runs at a low, steady hum (think: background noise, not disruption), and the outdoor unit is built to be just as quiet.

✔️ Quiet enough for bedrooms
✔️ No loud cycling on/off
✔️ Smooth, consistent airflow

If it sounds loud… something’s not right.

Comfort shouldn’t come with noise. 👊

Not necessarily — but it should be running regularly.

An HRV is designed to constantly bring in fresh air and push out stale air. That’s what keeps humidity, odors, and air quality in check — especially in tighter, well-insulated homes.

✔️ Continuous low-speed = ideal for most homes
✔️ Boost mode = when cooking, showering, or high humidity
✔️ Off = not recommended for long periods

Turning it off completely can lead to stale air, excess moisture, and even mold issues over time.

Think of it less like a switch… and more like a system your home relies on every day.
