Masonry Repair (Brantford)

The homeowner called us because water was leaking into the basement. After our inspection, we found a foundation crack and also discovered it had transferred up through the brickwork, creating the stair-step crack you see in this photo.

We permanently sealed the foundation crack from the inside using a professional crack injection system, then repaired the exterior masonry by routing out and repointing the damaged mortar joints. The brick is no longer available so we off- set the mortar joints to the best of our ability to blend effectively.

By addressing both the source of the leak and the visible masonry damage, the homeowner was left with a dry basement and a properly restored exterior.

Last week we replaced these old concrete steps over two days. We removed the failing steps, built and reinforced new forms, poured the concrete, and stripped the forms the next day.
Another clean, solid set of steps built to last. Thanks to the crew for the hard work in the summer heat.
