Every Dorgelo By Design project has a dedicated Project Manager overseeing the day-to-day work on site. It also has Brian’s involvement.

As the founder of Dorgelo By Design, Brian oversees every active project and visits each job site daily. His hands-on involvement allows him to stay connected to the progress of each build, support the Project Managers and trades, and ensure important details are being carried through as planned.

With more than 20 years of construction experience, Brian brings practical knowledge, clear decision-making and a consistent standard of quality to every custom home and renovation Dorgelo takes on.

It’s one of the reasons we work with a select number of clients at a time. Brian remains personally involved from planning through construction.

Siding plays an important role in both the appearance and performance of a home.

Standing-seam metal offers a clean, contemporary finish with excellent durability. Corrugated metal adds texture and a more industrial profile. Natural wood brings warmth and character, while fibre-cement products such as Hardie® siding provide versatility with lower maintenance requirements.

The right choice depends on the home’s architectural design, location, weather exposure, maintenance needs and project budget. In many custom homes, combining siding materials can also create contrast, define different sections of the building and help the exterior feel connected to its surroundings.

The details are coming together at our Pemberton Meadows renovation.

New windows have been installed, bringing more natural light into the home, while heated flooring, tile and finished flooring are now underway. Each step is helping define the interior and move the project closer to its finished form.

Dorgelo By Design’s in-house drafting team creates detailed, construction-focused plans with the realities of the building process in mind. Each drawing is developed to support accurate pricing, permit requirements and clear coordination between the client, engineers, trades and construction team.

Using Revit, we can work through layouts, elevations and construction details before the project reaches the job site. This helps create a clearer path from the initial design concept to the finished build.

Building a new home involves more than plans, permits and construction. The right licensing, warranty and insurance coverage also needs to be in place before work begins.

In BC, new homes must generally be built by a Licensed Residential Builder and enrolled in home warranty insurance. Dorgelo By Design works with Pacific Home Warranty to provide mandatory 2-5-10 coverage for eligible new homes. We are also registered with WorkSafeBC, carry general liability insurance and complete the annual professional development required to maintain our residential builder licence.

Homeowners also have an important role. We encourage our clients to discuss Course of Construction Insurance with their insurance provider. Although it is not always mandatory, it may provide additional protection for the home and materials while construction is underway.

Drafting gives us the opportunity to review dimensions, layouts and construction details while changes can still be made on paper. Because our drafting and construction teams work closely together, drawings are developed with the realities of the building process in mind.
