🌼🐸💕Farmin with Wren🌸💚🐝 Whatever it takes, including mangled zinnias, to keep this little sprite busy, so we can get it done. Almost all the transplants are in 🙈 the gardens looks incredible, the dome & tunnel are bumpin’, CSA approaches July 2nd, the wind can chill, the rains been nice & somehow we’re mostly on schedule even with a busy 10 month old. Thankfully nature provides almost everything to keep this one mostly occupied.. just to teach her to stop putting the mulch in her mouth 🤔😝

🌱🌸✌️a baby on the hip and seeds sown in seconds. Makes the end of May survivable in the market garden. 😅 investments in tools like this hand seeder, the jang seeder, a flame weeder, ground cover - it’s all part of the dance in the acre garden. Found this little baddy on Japan Agritrading - super fast shipping, and I just use Google Translate to translate the booklet & instructions. Worth it 💯

💖🌱☀️Grow good things✌️👒🌸

Even though our honour stand has been ransacked (yesterday) we persist, because we have too many plants to share & the hope and love in growing a garden is the medicine all our hearts and spirits could use. 😅🥰 Swing by our little red wagon at the end of the driveway to get your seedlings , a top up on the famous triple mix or topsoil, and grow something good 💚 Cash only, limited stock on varieties and cultivars. Honour the honour system please 🙏 Let’s keep small scale farm stands a thing in our communities.
After sharing our farm stands/ honour system was pryed open yesterday I had another farmer friend reach out and share that we are one of five in North Simcoe who had some butt sniffer damage property and steal MID DAY during the week. Can’t get much lower, if your the one who done the deeds and reading this 🖕 Touch grass.

🪱🤎🌱Feed your Soil, not the plants 🌱🤎🪱 your soil is full of everything your plants want, it just might need a lil inoculation of beneficial microbes, bacteria, exudates - that create the soil food web & “unlock” all the magic nutrients in the soil your plants need to thrive, and nourish you! Don’t rely on chemical fertilizers that keep you coming back & deplete your soil. If it dissolves in water - it’s a salt, and salt is counterproductive long term to your soils health. But that’s just how we operate, you do you. 🤷‍♀️

Small scale farming isn’t the same as large scale, and we’re grateful for the big guys, because they keep our grocery stores full. Different doesn’t mean one is better than the next, this is just how we feed our soil on our small scale regenerative plot.

No till, no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers 🤎💚🤎 Wanna learn more? Shoot us a message or leave a comment ✌️

✨🌱the tiny girl who made me a mom🐝🪶

Wrens first interaction with tulsi was today, from seed saved two years ago. These little moments are everything, introducing a tiny human to the awe of nature, the scents of herbs, the songs of bird, the glistening of the pond. The entire world is full of children, and their mothers. How magnificent, how complicated and complex, beautiful and sacred. To the mothers before, the ones to to come, the ones trying, the ones who’ve decided not to, the ones who’ve stepped up, the ones who’ve past, the ones mothering themselves, and the ones yet to born - may you feel the sun upon your skin and know how cherished you are. 💖
& to the love of my life , thank you thank you thank you. I am the mother I am, because of your endless and devoted support and love. To the ride of our lives, my deepest gratitude. And pockets full of fresh and dried herbs. 🌱

🪴🍅🫑Hey Simcoe North friends! 🥬🌿🌼 The soil is still too cold for tomatoes & peppers! if your an eager gardener, sow some peas, lettuce, radish & greens. Hold off on the fruiting veg that loves warm soil. The nights are still dipping to near freezing - which means stunted, struggling plants all season. Be patient, the warmth is coming! Just because the big box stores are moving them, doesn’t mean it’s time to plant yet! Don’t kill your precious plants!

We’ll have some seedling for grabs next weekend, frost pending. Pre orders are live, to reserve your plant bebes. And I’ll even hold on to them for you till it’s time to transplant! 😉 😘 🌱

happy spring friends!

😍🌸the awe factor of growth 🌻😍

Never ceases to amaze, how seed unfurls to such magnificent colourful vibrant abundant beauty. May is so crazy every year; but not only is it a time chaos and insanity, but a sprint forward into the beauty of the harvest promised. Trying to take it a bit slow, but man, this spring has us (me) feeling a lil crazy. Come on warmth!
