🫰💚🍅Peep the lettuce going to seed🥵🥬🌼 & swinging baby toes 👀 :: A beautiful friend and past market farmer herself trellised up the extremely neglected tomatoes just last week ; we’re not maintaining weeds all that well, or applying compost tea nearly as much as I’d like, and the roll sides aren’t up on this tunnel, but some patience, and hope and the acceptance that we just can’t get er all done, the seeds grow, the fruit ripens, the plant grows, and nature once again reminds us to just leave it. Somewhat lol ; not pictured are the hornworms we’ve been plucking, the totally covered pepper plants, the choked out parsley, or the ⭐️now⭐️ anaerobic compost tea 🤦‍♀️ lol But! We’re past the halfway mark of our CSA season (regretfully forgetting to 📸 the shares) and the fall crops are promising 🤞

🧿🥵🍅Week 5 CSA 🐦‍🔥🥔🍃Tomatoes are FINALLY starting to ripen up. The greenhouse tunnel is an absolute jungle. We’re calling it a trial run.. lol when in reality, we just can’t get everything done. Found some horn worms, those suck. Lotsa bees, lotsa dragonflies, lotsa beauty, beans, cukes, and sweating. Hard to fathom August is around the corner, cause last August we welcomed Wren earthside. Whew! Don’t let the scroll fool ya, we’re battling bugs, weeds, unruly plants, and timing. But, we’re doing the damn thing, with a spoonful of patience and grace and heaps of acceptance that we just can’t do it all. Happy long weekend pals! May you play in the sun! 🌞 💕 ☮️

💚🙈😂It’s not all flowers n cute crap😝🗑️👹 Today I overdid it, heat stroke / exhaustion. Barfing for 4+ hours, overdosed on haskaps @ heat from Tiny Acres Farming with Brittany Anne - but our first CSA share is gonna be berry~licious. Remember social media is a highlight reel folks! ✌️ had to jump on this trend of farm aesthetic reel, thankfully we’ve cleaned those messes up, now onto the next! ~~~ first share pick up this week! Thursday after 3! 🌼🥵🥵🥵🌼

🌼🐸💕Farmin with Wren🌸💚🐝 Whatever it takes, including mangled zinnias, to keep this little sprite busy, so we can get it done. Almost all the transplants are in 🙈 the gardens looks incredible, the dome & tunnel are bumpin’, CSA approaches July 2nd, the wind can chill, the rains been nice & somehow we’re mostly on schedule even with a busy 10 month old. Thankfully nature provides almost everything to keep this one mostly occupied.. just to teach her to stop putting the mulch in her mouth 🤔😝

🌞🌱🤎Transplanting in full swing 🪱🫛🌼 The craziest season, full force heatwave, a 10 month old & a few weeks to go before our sixth season CSA begins! These long June days are so full, of planting, of sowing, of playing, here’s to hoping a few beach days on the horizon too. 🌱🌸✌️a baby on the hip and seeds sown in seconds. Makes the end of May survivable in the market garden. 😅 investments in tools like this hand seeder, the jang seeder, a flame weeder, ground cover - it’s all part of the dance in the acre garden. Found this little baddy on Japan Agritrading - super fast shipping, and I just use Google Translate to translate the booklet & instructions. Worth it 💯

Even though our honour stand has been ransacked (yesterday) we persist, because we have too many plants to share & the hope and love in growing a garden is the medicine all our hearts and spirits could use. 😅🥰 Swing by our little red wagon at the end of the driveway to get your seedlings , a top up on the famous triple mix or topsoil, and grow something good 💚 Cash only, limited stock on varieties and cultivars. Honour the honour system please 🙏 Let’s keep small scale farm stands a thing in our communities.
After sharing our farm stands/ honour system was pryed open yesterday I had another farmer friend reach out and share that we are one of five in North Simcoe who had some butt sniffer damage property and steal MID DAY during the week. Can’t get much lower, if your the one who done the deeds and reading this 🖕 Touch grass.
