Strong vibes in the greenhouse this morning.
Just had to post this before I head out of town for a few days. I will do a more comprehensive post about the progression and reasons for the build.

But for now, I will just sit and enjoy the space.

What parts make up a garden? Is it the plants, or the soil or your location. It's a bit of everything and how it all comes together.

This cedar gate is in place to mostly keep the dog in the yard, but it offers curb appeal and a bit of natural material to the garden as a whole.

Another new planter box! This was made last week for a client in town here in Peterborough. Made out of untreated cedar and sealed with a water based non toxic sealer that protects against UV and water damage meaning IT'S SAFE FOR EDIBLE PLANTS!

A simple detachable trellis tops this off for any climbers you may wish to plant.

Any more questions or orders, DM me

Well, today is the day that we get some of our spring tasks started (despite the fact that it's -5° C and snowing outside. Zone 5b)

We already have several trays of perennials that have been growing very well but since we are closing in on our 8 weeks until last frost, it's time to start our larger veggies like peppers and tomatoes.

Have you started your seeds yet? What are you growing this year?

Remember, if you can't find a variety that you're looking for, or if you just have way too many of something that grows well in your region, you should reach out to your local gardener community and get swapping!

It's been a while since my last post (busy busy) but I had to share my haul from the garden this morning! My first year for many of these varieties and they have not disappointed.

With this heat and moisture that we have been experiencing here in Peterborough we have had a tough time keeping up with our picking.
*cut to MASSIVE zucchini* !!!!

But once things start slowing down I will post more updates of what we've been busy with this season.

Stay tuned!

Made a new friend today! A few actually. While at a job I found a few cicadas in the yard! Such an interesting creature and I'm sure we will be hearing a lot from them in the next few weeks.

Go dig around in your gardens and I'm sure you will find some of these curious neighbours

It's amazing how much just a little bit of weeding and a few new plants can make.

Thanks to for sending us some supplemental plants to fill in and diversify our selection.

This garden is part of our community garden and provides food and joy to our human and critter neighbours alike!

Had a long wet week here in Peterborough and my pruners were looking worse than I have ever seen them. It was time for a complete degrease, scrub and sharpen before reassembling them.

Not only is it a good idea to keep your tools in order so they can do their job (which helps me do my job) but it's also not responsible to let bacteria and diseases possibly damage the plants in your next client's garden.

This weekend I was able to build a 6 foot cedar planter for a client. I'm very happy with how it turned out!

As our lumber prices begin to relax a bit I'm hoping to do more of these custom jobs for people's gardens.
