🔧 Old furnace out. New hybrid heat pump system in.
We recently upgraded this home from an older Lennox Pulse furnace to a new Goodman variable-speed furnace paired with a Midea EVOX cold-climate heat pump.
The new system also includes a media air cleaner and UV air treatment, giving the homeowner a complete heating, cooling, and indoor air quality upgrade.
This hybrid setup allows the heat pump to handle much of the home’s heating and cooling efficiently, while still keeping the gas furnace available as backup heat when needed.
The Midea EVOX system uses R-454B refrigerant, part of the newer generation of lower-GWP refrigerants now being introduced in modern HVAC equipment.
This project also qualified for a rebate through the Home Renovation Savings Program, helping offset part of the cost of the upgrade.
A furnace replacement doesn’t always have to mean simply replacing the furnace. In many homes, it can be a great opportunity to add a cold-climate heat pump and improve the whole heating and cooling system at the same time.
Thinking about replacing an older furnace, adding a heat pump, or upgrading your air conditioning? We can help compare the options, including available rebates and financing.
