Another mechanical room transformation. We removed an ordinary furnace and tankless water heater setup and upgraded this home to a high efficiency boiler system.

This system will now heat the home through an Eco-Smart air handler, allowing for efficient heating even at very low outdoor temperatures while maximizing comfort and energy efficiency.

The new boiler system will also provide heat to the garage and a detached shop located over 100 feet away from the home.

Additionally, a heat pump will soon be integrated into the system with an advanced thermostat capable of monitoring the operating cost of each heat source in real time. This allows the system to automatically choose the most cost effective and efficient way to heat the home depending on outdoor conditions and energy prices.

As an added bonus, we installed generator transfer switches that will allow the heating system to operate off a generator or battery backup during power outages, helping keep the home warm and protected when it matters most.

A clean, versatile system built for northern winters and long term performance.

Nice little Rinnai install we wrapped up recently.

Pulled out the old clunky tank from the closet and upgraded to a tankless unit in the crawl space. Not only more efficient, but it also freed up some valuable storage space. .canada
