A great day on the course in support of Little Warriors! ⛳️

Access Engineering was proud to sponsor and participate in the 10th Annual Little Warriors Golf Tournament today at The Quarry in Edmonton.

Our own Tanner Braaten and Braedon Cooreman hit the course alongside their teammates from Emcee Construction & Management Ltd. for a great day supporting an incredibly important organization and the work they do for children, youth and families across Canada.

We've upgraded our drone fleet at our Prince George office, and of course we had to take it out for a test flight!

These photos were captured by our own Ala’a Suheimat, P.Eng., and showcase the new baseball dugouts at Freeman Park, for which Access provided structural engineering services. You may have noticed several of these new dugouts popping up around the City of Prince George.

Our previous drone isn't retiring just yet. It's headed to our Edmonton office so our Alberta team will have a dedicated drone ready for site visits, progress photos, and completed project photography.

Proud to have been part of this important project. Congratulations to Lax Kw'alaams Band and all partners involved in bringing this new 70-unit affordable housing development to Prince Rupert. Projects like these are made possible through strong collaboration and a shared commitment to creating homes and supporting communities.

Check out this article from Carrier Sekani Family Services on the importance of creating housing that reflects the needs of Indigenous people and communities. The work being done to combine safe housing with culturally informed supports is incredibly meaningful and impactful.

We’re also proud to see our own Bruce Johnston included in the conversation, sharing thoughts on the importance of designing spaces that support long term wellness, connection, and community.

Projects like this are a reminder that good design and engineering are about more than buildings, they’re about people.

Across British Columbia, the housing crisis continues to reveal gaps in the system, particularly for Indigenous youth, young families and Elders.
Carrier Sekani Family Services (CSFS) approaches housing through an inclusive, culturally grounded lens, recognizing that one‑size‑fits‑all solutions rarely reflect the realities of Indigenous communities.

Access Engineering, along with Tanner Braaten, was pleased to support the 2nd-year Engineering Design II group, North Peak Design, from the UNBC School of Engineering in the development of their Green Energy final project.

Tanner had the opportunity to assist with the structural concept for their term project and attend the entire class's final presentations. The level of innovation, collaboration, and professionalism demonstrated was outstanding.

A special shoutout to the professors for organizing such a practical and engaging term project. Initiatives like this provide invaluable real-world experience for students.

Great work by everyone involved, the future is bright for the next generation of engineers coming out of UNBC and the North.

We’re excited to share a proud parent moment from the weekend! 👏

Bruce’s son Declan and Ala’a’s son Sanad teamed up to compete in the BC Society of Engineering and Geoscience (BCSEG) Popsicle Bridge Building Competition. It’s safe to say there may be two future engineers in the making.

Participants designed and built bridges, then put them to the test on stage in a crushing machine to see how they held up. It was a great event with an impressive turnout and lots of energy from the competitors.

A big thank you to the volunteers who organized and supported such a fun and engaging event.

Always fun to see that early curiosity and excitement for engineering come to life!
