There's plenty to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

As the fall colours take over our jobsites, we're reminded of the people who make our work possible.

We're grateful for our dedicated crews who tackle challenging projects in some of Canada's most remote locations, our clients and partners who place their trust in us, and the families who support our team along the way.

From all of us at Ruskin Construction, we wish you and your families a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

This Labour Day, we recognize the people behind every project.

To our crews in the field, our teams in the office and everyone who supports our work—thank you for the skill, effort and pride you bring to Ruskin every day.

Have a safe and well-earned Labour Day.

In a narrow rock valley, there is no luxury of perfect laydown areas, dedicated traffic routes, or unlimited staging space. Every piece of equipment, every pile of material, and every access route has to serve a purpose.

Good site organization isn't about having more room. It's about making the best use of the room you have.

On challenging projects, productivity is often won or lost long before the first pile is installed. It starts with planning, foresight, and field experience.
This is where experienced Ruskin's supervision makes the difference.

Happy to share that Ruskin Construction has mobilized and started work on a Dam safety upgrade project in the Nechako River region of Northwest BC.

Safety is always our top priority. Initial rock scaling activities are currently underway by our specialized subcontractors to secure the work area and ensure safe conditions for crews and upcoming construction phases.

Strong start with a focus on controlled ex*****on, teamwork, and safety-first mindset as we move into the next stages of the project.

Ruskin Crews are hard at work this week installing a concrete composite bridge in British Columbia for one of our favorite industrial clients. This project had tight timelines and strict access constraints. Congrats to the team on getting it off the ground and on its way to its first load!

Ruskin finished off the winter season with a challenging bridge swap in Northern Alberta. Our crews removed a 120ft bridge with a 30ft jump span and replaced it with a 180ft bridge. The site presented multiple challenges with steep approaches and limited work space.

We’re proud to share the completion of another project! A deteriorating culvert that was washing out the roadway and blocking vital fish habitat has been replaced with a brand-new bridge – opening the way for both safe travel and thriving ecosystems!

This new bridge not only ensures long-term reliable access for the road owner and other users but also restores critical fish passage, supporting healthier waterways and wildlife habitats.

A big thank you to our hardworking team and partners who made this project a success. Together, we’re building more than bridges – we’re building connections that matter.

Harnessing the Power of Wind Energy in BC

British Columbia is making waves in renewable energy with exciting developments in wind power! As highlighted in this recent CBC article, the province is expanding its wind energy projects, contributing to a greener future.

For foundations companies like ours, this marks an incredible opportunity to support the transition to clean energy. Building wind farms starts from the ground up—literally! Foundations are a critical element, ensuring wind turbines remain stable and efficient, even in Northern BC's rugged terrain and challenging weather conditions. 🏗️💪

At Ruskin Construction, we're proud to play a role in sustainable infrastructure by providing robust and reliable foundations for wind energy projects. From deep pile installations to engineered support systems, we’re ready to power up BC’s clean energy goals. ⚡🌿

Let’s build a sustainable future, one foundation at a time. 🌎

The majority of projects are in the Interior and north and will add about eight per cent to power supply capacity.
