From log home to full second-story transformation 🏡
This project was a complete overhaul from the top up. We started by reframing the existing roof, replacing rotten truss members to give the structure a solid foundation moving forward. From there, we installed new shingles, soffit, and fascia to bring everything back to life and weather-tight.
To make room for the addition, we removed a section of the original roof and carefully notched into the existing log structure—tying old and new together the right way.
The new second story was built using traditional wood framing with engineered trusses, all new windows, and fresh siding to match the character of the home.
Inside, we took it all the way to completion:• 3 new bedrooms• 2 full washrooms• Custom gaming lofts in both kids’ rooms 🎮• Tongue-and-groove pine ceiling throughout for that warm, cabin finish• New flooring across the entire addition
This one turned out unreal—modern space added while keeping that classic log home feel intact.
