One of the biggest myths we hear is:
"If my siding was damaged, I'd be able to see it."
Not necessarily.
In fact, some of the most serious siding damage we've found wasn't obvious from the ground at all.
Most homeowners expect to see a panel hanging off the house or a large crack running down the wall. The reality is that damage often starts much smaller than that.
A seam opens up.
A piece of caulking fails.
A hailstorm leaves behind a few impact points that don't seem like a big deal at the time.
Months later, moisture begins finding its way inโand that's when bigger problems can start.
The thing about exterior damage is that what you see is only part of the story. Sometimes the real issue is hiding behind the siding where nobody can see it.
That's one reason we always recommend having your home inspected after a major storm.
Peace of mind is valuable too.
