This September 30, Great Plains Contracting stands in solidarity with our Indigenous brothers and sisters as we observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 🧡
This day is a poignant tribute to the children who never returned home and the Survivors of residential schools, alongside their families and communities.
Public commemoration is a vital step in the journey towards reconciliation, acknowledging the painful history and ongoing impacts of these institutions.
🟠 September 30 also marks , an Indigenous-led initiative. It reminds us of the individual, family, and community intergenerational impacts of residential schools, and emphasizes that "Every Child Matters."
The orange shirt symbolizes the loss of culture, freedom, and self-esteem endured by Indigenous children.
Join us in wearing orange on September 30 to honour the Survivors and support reconciliation.
Let us all be part of the change. 🧡
