Haskaps might look like an elongated blueberry, but they’re built for our climate. Developed at the U of S, they’re incredibly hardy and actually produce here, unlike traditional blueberries.

These combo Haskaps make it even easier. Instead of figuring out pollination, it’s already done for you, just plant and go. They grow up to about 6 feet tall, covered in blooms, and then berries!

One of our most asked for plants, the pearl bush!

It puts on a full spring show with a flood of crisp white blooms that stop you in your tracks. It’s easy to grow, keeps a naturally beautiful shape, and doesn’t need constant pruning to look good.

Sue swore that as kids, they used to pick the blossoms and taste the sweetness, so of course we had to test it out. Let’s just say, it didn’t quite live up to the memory. 😂

BUT the Arnold Red Honeysuckle does live up to the hype in every other way. This old school favourite is incredibly hardy, blooms with rich cherry red flowers in late spring, and brings in the pollinators.

It’s one of those classic shrubs that’s stuck around for a reason.
