Impact Industrial Services Dry Ice Blasting, Wet Abrasive and Sand Blasting professionals, specializing in the Oil/Gas, Constru But that's where the similarity ends.

Dry ice blasting is similar to sand blasting, wet abrasive blasting,
or soda blasting where a medium is accelerated in a pressurised
air stream to impact a surface to be cleaned or prepared. Instead of using hard abrasive media to grind on a surface (and damage it),
dry ice blasting uses soft dry ice, accelerated at supersonic speeds, and
creates mini-explosions on the surface to lift the unde

sirable item off the
underlying surface. Surfaces such as Wood, Concrete, Masonry, Plastic, Rubber, Fiberglass, and all Metals can be cleaned without damage and minimal cleanup, making it an excellent and environment friendly surface restoration process.

Despite the heat we have had for the last 2 weeks, it was fun being a part of these Parkade Ramp Repair projects at the University of Regina.
This project required that all previous paint and corrosion was to be removed from the structural steel prior to the application of a new paint coating system, and galvanized steel Grating. Since these ramps are in close proximity to housing, parks, walkways, and roadways we had to keep the dust contained and the public safe. We were able to accomplish both with minimal containment by using our Wet Abrasive Blasting equipment.

A fire left the inside of this 60,000 sq. ft. building covered in carbon and soot. Our Dry Ice Blasting equipment was used to clean everything from structural steel and overhead cranes, to foil back insulation and ventilation ducting. Since Dry ice sublimates on impact there is no secondary waste to cleanup. Because it is a dry process it is safe to use around electrical components and other sensitive surfaces. Please see photos below for an idea of our capabilities. Thank You, Work Safe, and Stay Safe everybody.

Prior to receiving a new coat of paint, we cleaned this 16,000 sq ft machine shop using our Dry Ice Blasting equipment. We were able to remove accumulated dirt, dust, oil, grease, and bird droppings from every surface of the building as well as multiple overhead cranes and foil back insulation without damage. Unlike other processes Dry Ice Blasting leaves no secondary waste. This unique process leaves a clean and dry surface for maximum paint adhesion.
