Passed May 21st, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Bardy Reavie, our beloved former General Manager of WestExcel, on May 21st, 2025.

Bardy wasn’t just a leader—he was the heart and soul of WestExcel. Through years of dedicated service, Bardy helped shape the company with integrity, vision, and a relentless commitment to quality and excellence. His leadership left a lasting imprint on our culture and continues to influence how we work and support one another.

Those of us who had the honor of working with Bardy remember his sharp mind, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication. He mentored, inspired, and believed in people—always encouraging others to grow, dream, and lead with kindness.

Though he is no longer with us, Bardy’s legacy lives on in every part of WestExcel. We are forever grateful for his contributions and the strong foundation he helped to strengthen.

Our thoughts are with Bardy’s family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him.

The Purpose of this class:
Is to introduce and familiarize technical installation and service personnel with proper
installation of ProLon control systems, connecting to ProLon control systems and navigating ProLon Focus software. By the end of this class, attendees will have been presented with the knowledge, reference materials and hands on experience required to successfully install and configure a
ProLon control system.

Target Audience:
This class is intended for Mechanical/HVAC contractors who wish to provide their customers with a powerful, computer-based HVAC control system option that does not lock the customer into years of expensive licensing and fees or require detailed computer programming knowledge to
manipulate. Class will be targeted specifically for service technicians who will be installing or working with ProLon in the field, but service managers, project managers, estimators, and company owners may also benefit from seeing the capabilities and configuration of ProLon systems.



Required Material
Attendees must come with a laptop running Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10, or 11 and have full administrator
access (driver updates and software installation will likely be required during the class).
The laptop must have at least 1 USB A Connector and 1 Ethernet port available (external dongle is fine).
Chromebooks do not work.

*REQUIREMENTS* All attendees must be N4 certified. Any experience with Spyder-classic, Spyder-5 and/or CIPer30 is helpful. Students should have the latest version of Optimizer Workbench available on the Buildings Forum installed and licensed on their own laptop prior to attending class. For Workbench, they need to have a Honeywell license otherwise they won’t be able to download the controllers. They also need to have local Administrator permission on their laptops so that they can log onto Niagara, install the VAV balancing tool, and/or make changes to their firewall configuration if needed.



This is a great opportunity to elevate your skills and get ahead of the game when in comes to programming Honeywell’s latest Spyder products.
