That’s it that’s all. 9 months, 12 Cabins, 24 bathrooms, 12 backsplashes, 4236 square feet of tile.

I don’t really know what to say….it’s been a project! Lots of highs and lows. Days where I didn’t want to come into work and days that I didn’t want to leave. So much went into this project so much heart, so much sweat, so many stairs!

Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to this project. I literally couldn’t have done it without you.

Ok sooo this is probably one of my favourite bathrooms that I’ve had the pleasure of tiling. The tile selection, layout, stunning view of the Pacific Ocean plus the ex*****on of the project made this job about as smooth as it could be. The Cabins at Terrace beach are starting to become available🙌🏻

The view of Terrace Beach from the ensuite shower, soaker tub and bedroom are definitely the highlight of these suites 👌🏻

Side note: A lot of hard work and planning has gone into these cabins, we at Tuff City Tile are very fortunate to be one of the many trades involved in the process. The road ahead to full occupancy is long but…. as I always say “one tile at a time” or in this case “cabin at a time”

I’ve spent some time Looking over the last years photos and reflecting on our first year living here. It’s been real easy to loose focus on why we moved here and what matters most in my life. After the holiday break Things have been put back into perspective. Family is what it’s all about.

We’ve spent a lot of time working on the business and making the transition to the coast permanent. What I have enjoyed most has been making new friends and connecting with some of the most amazing clients, all of which have become family.

We have been blessed to become part of a community that has accepted and treated us as family and we’re grateful to each and every client that has made our dream possible.

Thank you Ucluelet and Tofino for the most amazing year! We’re excited to see what 2023 brings!

When artistic worlds collide.

Part 1: The Chevron backsplash.

I had been asked to take on this project after newly moving to Tofino in my trailer to forge a new path for myself and my family . The project was big, and working by myself this project was huge. 5 full bathrooms and two kitchen backsplashes. All the prep, all the tile, all the grout and all the hours. Days turned into nights turned into weekends. My clients and the builder gave me all the freedom and space I needed to get it done and never questioned when it was going to be completed.
