Nothing says the start of summer like a BBQ with the team. From setting up and firing up the grill to keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, it was a true team effort from start to finish. More than just great food, it was a chance to connect, unwind, and enjoy some well-earned time together outside of the daily grind. Moments like these give us a chance to recharge, enjoy each other’s company, and set the tone for the sunny days ahead. Here’s to starting the season off strong!

Division 15 recently completed another District Energy project on the University of British Columbia campus. Our team successfully installed buried and above-ground District Energy piping, along with associated equipment serving the Brimacombe and Swing Space buildings. Working within an active campus, this project required detailed coordination to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure whilst supporting the building’s long-term energy needs.

Throughout every phase of work, our crews remained focused on quality, efficiency, and consistency. Completed in collaboration with and , this project strengthens the campus District Energy network and supports the delivery of efficient and centralized energy for faculty, staff, students and residents.

April was BC Construction Month, a time to recognize and reflect on the people who bring visions to life, day in and day out. Our crews are the backbone of our success, and we spent the month celebrating their dedication, craftsmanship, and teamwork.

Participating in the BCAA Lunchbox Challenge, we shared lunches with teams on the ground – taking time to show appreciation for the people who push our projects forward each day. Supporting and recognizing our people is what matters most to us at Division 15.

Throughout the month, we’ve been connecting with crews across sites to share a meal and taking a moment to say thank you. We’re incredibly proud of the work being done, and the people behind it!

What a great way to start the day at our recent all-staff breakfast! ☀️🍳

Bringing the team together like this is always a highlight, and this one felt especially meaningful. We took time to reflect on what has been an incredible year for Division 15. Coming off a record year, this milestone is a direct result of the hard work, dedication, and craftsmanship across our field, shop, and office teams. It’s something we’re proud to celebrate together.

We also shared an exciting step forward for the future of the company. Congratulations to Amanda and Dan, who are becoming shareholders in Division 15. This is not just a title, it represents a real investment, a long-term commitment, and a belief in where this company is headed.

Their decision to take on ownership reflects confidence in our people, our work, and the opportunities ahead. It's all about building continuity, strengthening leadership, and ensuring Division 15 continues to grow for years to come.

What a great day at this year’s Vancouver Sun Run! ☀️🏃 With perfect weather and an amazing atmosphere, the Division 15 team came together to take on the 10K as a group. It was all about challenging ourselves, supporting each other, and enjoying the experience from start to finish.

We wrapped it up with a well-earned celebration—nothing better than crossing the finish line together and sharing some good times. Huge shoutout to the team for showing up strong and making it such a memorable day.

Welcoming a new season with great food and even better company is such a treat. Our Spring Potluck was a bright and lively gathering that brought our team together through delicious dishes and the sense of belonging that comes from a friendly community.
From colourful salads, to homemade favourites, every dish added its own touch of care and creativity to the counter. Our potluck was a wonderful reminder of how food has a way of connecting us, and celebrating the diversity within our team.

Following the completion of Langara’s first underground District Energy piping installation & related Central Heating Plant upgrades in 2023, Division 15 successfully delivered another significant mechanical upgrade on Langara’s Vancouver campus.
The project modernized domestic hot water production and advanced low-carbon energy systems in Buildings A & C – Building A forming part of central campus facilities and connecting directly to Building C, a major academic hub featuring classrooms, offices, and student support services. Working alongside and , our team completed a full upgrade of the Building C mechanical rooms, including restoration of an existing geothermal field installation of multiple new pumps, and installation of a reversing water-cooled heat pump providing a low-carbon source for both heating & cooling.
A key highlight: The domestic hot water system has been decoupled from the central heating plant and is now produced by electricity rather than natural gas; improving efficiency, and long-term system performance.
Division 15 is proud to keep delivering innovative and advanced mechanical solutions that support decarbonisation and resilient campus infrastructure.

Today we recognize the essential role plumbing plays in public health, water conservation, and the infrastructure our communities rely on. Behind every building are skilled professionals who keep water flowing. At Division 15, we’re proud of the expertise and craftsmanship our team brings to their work every day.
This year, our celebration ties in with our recent participation at another VRCA Vancouver Regional Construction Association Bring Trades to Schools event. Students got hands-on experience assembling their own sink setups – bringing water to life through their own work. Thank you to Eva and the VRCA team for leading an impactful initiative and inspiring the next generation of trades professionals.
