This Y-shaped pathway also functions as a rainway. The path closest in the photo levels out to access the front of the house. Where it diverts off to the right it continues on a slope to direct water into a gutter system!

The homeowner used to have a sever flooding issue on this property so this was one of our solutions to help out. We built the rain path last summer and this summer we added new plants to the middle garden bed!

Here's that little garden that we were shaping out recently. It has now been amended with fresh soil, mounded, mulched, and has the first set of plants in it - Astilbes! There will be more plants to follow when the homeowners are ready.
