Wrapping up a great placement and looking ahead 🎓

As a five‑week placement with the Administration team at FCC & Marque Construction comes to an end, we’re recognizing the contributions and positive energy brought to the team by Kaela Dempster, a student from NBCC's Administrative Professional program.

From supporting work at our Saint John head office to gaining exposure to activity on a local project site, it’s been great to see this experience come together.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, Kaela, and all the best in what’s ahead!

We recently had the chance to celebrate Robert Campbell and his retirement after 30 years with Marque Construction Limited. 🎉

Robert started as an electrician during a busy period of growth and quickly stepped into added responsibilities, including managing a long-running lighting contract across Atlantic Canada and supporting youth apprenticeship students along the way.

He later moved into estimating, where he found his stride, before lending his skills to Marque’s industrial side of the business, where he continued to make an impact for many years.

Robert built a career defined by reliability, versatility, and a willingness to step in wherever needed.

Wishing him all the best in retirement. 👏

Construction continues to move ahead at the South End K–8 School project in Saint John. 🏫

Steel er****on is now underway, with the first sequences recently installed as the structure begins to take shape.

The new school will serve approximately 450 students and help support the growing needs of the community. We’re proud of the work being done by the Ocean Steel & Construction Ltd. team as this project progresses. 🏗

This week, members of our team were in Woodstock, Ontario working with Mark Hemmings Photography to build their smartphone photo and video skills. 📸

Hosted at our PreCon facility, the session gave participants a chance to learn new ways to capture the details of our work and tell the story behind it.

Big thanks to Ocean Capital and Hemmings House Pictures for making this possible.

Swipe through to check out a few shots captured during the session. 👀

Today on International HR Day, we want to recognize the people who help build and support our teams every day.

Recently, Mary Wilson represented OSCO at Saint John Touch a Truck alongside our operations team in support of First Steps. A big thank you as well to Paul Campagna for helping represent OSCO Concrete and Aggregates at the event.

This is just one example of the ongoing efforts our HR team brings every day. From the moment we connect with a job seeker to supporting our employees throughout their careers, your work plays an important role in shaping the experience of our people.

It’s also a great reflection of how our HR team helps connect what we do internally with how we show up in the community.

Thank you to Mary, and to our entire HR team across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Ontario for the work you do behind the scenes and beyond. 👏

On International Day of Families, we’re recognizing the Knelsen family and their long‑standing connection to our PreCon Woodstock operations. 👷

Pictured from left are Henry, Dave, Joe (now retired), and Johnny. While not shown, Jacob Knelsen and Taylor Knelsen are also part of the PreCon team, continuing the family’s contributions across our operations.

The Knelsens are one example of the many families who have worked side by side across OSCO Construction Group over the years. From one generation to the next, families play an important role in building strong teams, sharing experience, and supporting the work we do.

Today, we thank the Knelsen family and all the families who are part of the OSCO Construction Group community. 👏

Construction is well underway at 1750 Sandy Point Road in Saint John, where OSCO Concrete and Aggregates is supporting a new 76‑unit podium‑style apartment building by Sandy Point Investments. 🏘

The Saint John team moved quickly after being awarded the concrete supply contract, beginning pours the next day and completing all footings and foundation walls by April 22. The project will require approximately 1,200 cubic metres of concrete throughout construction.

To stay on schedule during peak spring conditions, the team coordinated additional trucks to support larger pours and work around seasonal load restrictions.

Later this summer, Strescon - Precast Concrete will contribute precast concrete balcony slabs, highlighting strong coordination across OSCO companies to support much‑needed residential development in the region. 💪

We’re excited to share that the Nova Scotia Community College - NSCC Ivany Campus Student Housing project is featured on the cover and in the latest Atlantic Focus edition of SABMag [Sustainable Architecture and Building Magazine], published in collaboration with the CAGBC. 📸

This project highlights sustainable, inclusive student housing in Nova Scotia, and our team at Strescon - Precast Concrete was proud to support the build with precast concrete solutions.

It’s great to see the work recognized in a national publication, and as a fun extra, you’ll also spot an OSCO Construction Group ad right after the article.

Congratulations to all project partners involved. 👏
