Throwback Thursday ➡️ Finding a faulty valve!

This was a tricky one to find hidden under the turf. Tracked the mainline and lateral line via wiring and some knowledge of how the system was originally installed by connecting the dots with mainline route and other valve box locations. This valve is stuck in the on position and also the pressure is way to high for the retrofitted drip line.

Taking this opportunity to install a pressure reducing valve and filter downstream of this zone valve while we are here fixing it.

A PRV will make sure that the drip zone operates at its optimal 30psi. The filter ensures the drip emitters don’t get clogged.
