This month, we are proud to recognize Baljeet Kaur, who has been a valued member of the Hughes Intelligence team since 2019 — an incredible 7 years!

Throughout her time with us, Baljeet has consistently demonstrated an outstanding work ethic, reliability, and strong leadership qualities.
She is always willing to lend a helping hand, often picking up additional shifts when she is able to support the team. Her flexibility, positive attitude, and willingness to work at different locations make her someone we can truly depend on.

Baljeet approaches her responsibilities with professionalism and dedication, adapting to the needs of the team without hesitation. Her dependable nature and commitment to her work have made her a valuable part of our operations over the years.

A huge thank you to Barry and the entire team at Hughes Intelligence for helping keep everyone safe at Rocktoberfest!

Organizing a multi-day festival takes a tremendous amount of planning, and having a trusted security team looking out for our attendees, performers, volunteers, and staff was so important to us.

One of the things that stood out was the quality of the team Barry provided. We received several comments on social media recognizing how friendly, professional, and approachable the security staff were, along with how well they handled situations as they arose. They helped create a welcoming environment while ensuring everyone could enjoy the festival safely. That kind of service makes a real difference!

Barry also went above and beyond by working with our committee to make security fit within our budget. His willingness to work with community organizations and support local events speaks volumes about his commitment to our community.

On top of that, Barry sponsored our event photography, allowing us to capture the energy, memorable moments, and spirit of Rocktoberfest. We are so grateful that his generosity helped make those lasting memories possible.

HELP US MAKE TRUNK OR TREAT HAPPEN!

We’re getting ready for The Anchor’s Trunk or Treat Fundraiser on October 31, and we’d love to have local businesses, organizations, families and community members join us.

Decorate a vehicle, bring some candy and spend the afternoon with us. It’s a great chance to meet local families, share what your business or organization does and be part of a fun community event. Individuals and families who simply want to decorate a trunk and join in are more than welcome too.

We’re also looking for help with a few event supplies, including bottled water, pop, juice boxes, hamburger patties, hamburger and hot dog buns, condiments, plates, napkins, candy and Halloween decorations.

Every donation helps. A few cases of drinks, some buns for the BBQ, a box of candy or other event supplies can all make a difference.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help with setup, the BBQ, food and drink service, parking, welcoming families and cleanup.
