Progress at the green house project.

Our clients came into this one with some understandable nerves around the timeline. Working through the design process can feel like a lot of moving pieces, but once we laid everything out and walked them through the plan, they were able to take a breath and trust that it was all in good hands.

And it really is coming together. The venetian plaster fireplace with quartz hearth is a showstopper, and the kitchen is going to be the perfect place to gather and make meals as a family - just wait until you see the custom range hood paired with a large format marble backsplash.

There’s been even more progress since these photos were taken and this one is going to be something special!

Your flooring is something that you’re likely never going to change.

Which is exactly why we encourage you to invest in it from the start.

Part of our job is making sure you feel confident in every selection you make, and flooring is no exception.

We’re not just pointing you toward what looks good or is trending right now. We’re helping you choose something that holds up to the life you’re actually going to live there, and something you’ll still love ten years in.

Did we get yours right?

A feature like the fireplace will anchor your home, and although these personas are just for fun, the choice you make will help define how your home feels.

So when you’re meeting with your designer or looking for inspo, remember to make note of how the rooms you’re looking at make you feel. Because how your home makes you feel will win over a trend every single time.

Check out our portfolio for more inspo, just follow that little link in our bio!

The trades we work with aren’t chosen by who’s first available.

We’re selective about who we bring into our clients’ homes because at the end of the day, we’re asking you to trust us completely with one of the biggest investments of your life. That trust extends to every single person who walks through your door during a build.

The relationships we have with our trades and suppliers have been built over years. We know how they work, we know they hold themselves to the same standards we do, and we know they’re people we’d trust in our own homes around our own families.

When you build with Spruce, you’re not just choosing us. You’re getting an entire team that you can count on to do high quality work and show up with integrity.

To us, that’s a non negotiable.

The kitchen is somewhere that everyone always ends up in, so it should feel like it was worth the investment.

After building and renovating homes for years, there are a few details we consistently see making the biggest difference in how a kitchen feels.

A statement range hood sets the tone for the whole space the moment you walk in.

From there, the fixtures you choose matter more than people expect, since they’re touched and used multiple times every single day and the quality shows over time.

And then there are the cabinet pulls, which might seem like a small decision until you see the difference a thoughtful choice makes across an entire kitchen.

None of these are the most obvious place to start, but they’re consistently the ones our clients are most glad they paid attention to.

These clients chose a walk through bathroom for their two boys so they could prioritize connection, giving the boys another opportunity to be close rather than apart.

Will this cause more shenanigans? Yes, likely. But will it also lend to a more memorable childhood? Absolutely.

The best home decisions aren’t always about aesthetics. Sometimes they’re just about knowing your family really well.

Luckily, this is an area of expertise for us and we love helping you figure out what will make your home just a little more perfect for you and yours.
