Thought that I should send out a post on these ads I'm seeing on market place. When replacing a furnace there is usually a reason or problem as to why. It is a scary thought that someone is buying these and installing them without permits or inspections. Used appliances can be a dangerous thing to install in your house, what if it has a cracked heat exchanger or a gas leak after install? Are you sure you want to risk that kind of damage or death to your family and home? On another note, if your house burns down and inspectors find out about an un-permitted appliance( even if it's not the problem) you may receive no insurance to fix your house. I'm sorry to sound scary or negative but gas appliances should be permitted and inspected same as new ones
