Interesting project done in Saskatoon this Saturday. 2x4 walls with extra 1.5 insulation and new siding. To match future extended wall we did custom vinyl jamb extension and connect it to the windows frame with drywall return.
As far as we had no siding during installation- we add nail fin for outside of the windows for a better seal. Nail fin is a great idea for windows, but it requires siding change. Here we got a combo.
