Meet Steven, who has been part of the STC Industrial Contracting team for three years!

As a pipefitter, Steven works on structural steel installation and is always willing to lend a hand to his coworkers. He’s been working in the industry since he left high school, and over the years, he’s built some great friendships with the people he works alongside.

For Steven, the coworkers, good pay, and shorter work weeks are some of the things that make STC Industrial Group a great place to work.

When he’s not at work, Steven enjoys herbal teas, art, and classical music.

His advice to anyone joining the team is simple: “Don’t be scared to ask questions. Speak up.”

Thanks for being part of the team, Steven! We appreciate everything you bring to STC Industrial Contracting.

Good Food, Great Company & Community

Today, we hosted our Annual Community BBQ with our employees, partners, and community members!

This year, we switched things up with some delicious bannock burgers, and they were a hit!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us, shared a meal, and took the time to stop by for a visit. We’re grateful for another successful year and for the people who make our community so special.

Meet Matt, who has been part of the STC Industrial Group team for five years!

As part of STC Industrial Contracting, Matt’s role involves planning and overseeing work and crews to help keep projects moving safely and efficiently. What he enjoys most about the job is the people he works with and the great team atmosphere.

Matt was inspired to work in the industry by his brother, and when he’s not at work, you’ll find him enjoying the outdoors through hunting and fishing or spending time with family.

His advice to someone starting out:
“Take pride in your work.”

Thanks for being part of the team, Matt! We appreciate everything you bring to STC Industrial Group.

Today, we mark 150 years since the signing of Treaty 6, on August 23, 1876. The Treaty includes four of STC’s member communities: Mistawasis Nêhiyawak, Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, Muskoday First Nation and One Arrow First Nation.

The vision of the Chiefs who signed Treaty 6, and their commitment to the well-being and future of their people, remain as important today as they were 150 years ago.

As we mark this milestone, we encourage everyone to reflect on what it means to honour the Treaties and live up to the commitments set down all those years ago.

STC remains committed to advancing the vision of our Chiefs and working in the spirit of the Treaty relationship to create a better quality of life for everyone in Treaty 6 Territory. 🧡
