Daisies and yarrow are more than welcome in my yard, but some plants on this list are truly invasive, such as bishop's goutweed and creeping bellflower.

At the end of the day, it's your garden, but it's good to be mindful of future homeowners who might be on your property. Try not to let things *completely* take over, and remember: there are no "good" or "bad" plants—just preferences!

Anything you disagree with or would add to the list? Let me know in the comments!

Ready to start a perennial garden? Here are my quick tips!

Every season, I begin with my annuals, and once they're all planted, I move on to my perennials. This means I typically start working on my perennial garden in June. If you're in a similar boat, save these tips for later!

💐 Final 2000 Tulip Reveal! 💐

Thanks to everyone who supported and followed along during this journey! I hope this has given you an insight into how hard your local flower farmers work and some of the challenges Mother Nature throws at us.

Would anyone be interested in a follow up post about how many I started with vs. How many I harvested vs. How many actually sold?

Week 21/52 this week in flowers—The REAL beginning of the tulip harvest.

One thing I learned this year is that shade cloth doesn’t entirely prevent them from blowing open! Even with it on I have to harvest at least twice a day.

We worked really hard this week and we’ve planted out all but 2 beds!
