Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour Survivors, their families, and communities, and recognize the ongoing impacts of residential schools.

Truth and reconciliation requires listening, learning, and sustained action.

Your home security just got smarter. The Schlage Encode Plus is built-in Wi-Fi, so there's no hub or bridge required — it connects directly and lets you manage auto-lock settings and activity logs right from the Schlage Home app. 🔑 Tap your iPhone or Apple Watch to unlock with Apple Home Key, or go hands-free with Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple HomeKit. With up to 100 access codes, built-in alarm technology, and ANSI Grade 1 certification (the highest residential security rating available), this lock delivers both convenience and serious peace of mind. No more fumbling for keys. At Prestige Lock & Door, we exclusively use Schlage for residential installations — and the Encode Plus is one of our top recommendations for homeowners ready to make the upgrade. Reach out to our team to find out if it's the right fit for your home.

Saskatchewan winters don't arrive with much warning. Before temperatures start dropping, it is worth taking a few minutes to walk your property and check your exterior doors.

Look for weatherstripping that has dried out over the summer, door closers that are sluggish, and frames that have shifted through heat and humidity cycles. Catching these issues now means avoiding emergency calls when it is -30 and every technician in the city is already booked solid.

If your property has multiple entry points, a simple inspection in September can save significant time and money come November.

Today is International Dog Day, and we could not let it pass without a shoutout to Jagger — our Chief of Security at Prestige Lock & Door!

Jagger takes his role very seriously. No one gets past the front door without his approval. He may not hold any certifications from the Door and Hardware Institute, but his instincts are second to none.
