This summer, NorTec Electric invested in the next generation of tradespeople.

Through the Saskatoon Industry Education CouncilSIEC Summer Youth Internship Program, we welcomed three summer students to our team. Carson has since joined NorTec full-time, and Robin heads back to Grade 11 this fall with real hands-on trade experience.

We also brought on Nathan, a Grade 11 student, to work alongside our back shop team this summer.

Investing in young people early is how we build the next generation of this trade. Thanks, Carson, Robin, and Nathan, for a great summer! 👏

Meet Justin, part of our health and safety team. Justin is located in Saskatoon and supports both the Regina and Saskatoon team.

He's spent the last 4.5+ years in health and safety, joining NorTec after seeing firsthand how seriously we take it on site.

His proudest project so far is the Queen Elizabeth Power Station expansion, and his approach with crews is simple: build trust, listen to what they bring forward, and follow through so they know their input is valued.

He's currently working toward his OHS Practitioner (OHSP) certification through Saskatchewan Polytechnic, with his CRSP designation next on the list!

Off the clock, he's not just cruising around: he's been featured in skateboard magazines across Canada.

The NorTec team headed to Urban Golf for our annual supervisor event, and it turned into one of our favourite days of the summer.
