Ontario is at risk of another invasive species known as the spotted lanternfly. The spotted lanternfly feeds on a vast array of trees which includes more than 70 species. The preferred tree for the spotted lanternfly to feed on is the tree of heaven followed by various fruit and ornamental trees. The spotted lanternfly will also feed on common deciduous trees such as maples and poplars through to coniferous trees such as pine and spruce.

ARHQ Tree Services is Hiring!

We're looking to hire 2 labourers or climbers to finish out the 2022 season

20$-35$ an hour

Work includes but is not limited to:
Manual labour
Chipping branches
Operation of chainsaw
Operation of heavy equipment
Operation of vehicles
Felling trees
Climbing trees
Pruning trees
Cabling trees
Stump grinding

The following qualifications are preferred but not mandatory.

Having experience as a tree related worker.
Chainsaw certification
First aid / cpr
Class G2 license or higher
Your own climbing gear

Safety is our number one priority. All safety gear must be worn at all times while on the job site. Failure to do so will result in termination.

Spruce Budworm advisory.
If you have a Spruce or a balsam fir tree with die back at the tips. (Example image below) the tree has most likely become Infested with Spruce budworm.

Defoliation starts at the top of the tree.

If defoliation occurs over multiple years the tree will most likely die.

May is the time to treat for Spruce budworm. The treatment lasts for 2 full seasons.
