On behalf of our team, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported and attended our annual charity BBQ last Saturday. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our volunteers, sponsors, and community members.
​With your help, we successfully raised $2,280, with proceeds benefiting Mountainview School and the Captain Tilley Recreation Complex in Goulais River through the Kiwanis Club. Your support is deeply appreciated and will make a significant impact on both organizations.

Get ready for some fun in the sun because it's that time of year again. Don't miss out on our 7th annual charity BBQ event on August 9, starting at 1pm to 11pm at 1424 Haviland Shores Dr. Goulais River, ON. All proceeds will be going to the breakfast program at Mountainview school and Captain Tilley in Goulais River. Angry Joe and the Growlers will be playing from 1 to 530pm, and Boneyard will be playing from 7 to 11pm. We'll also be raffling off an epoxy charcuterie board made and donated by Lake Superior Live Edge Custom Epoxy Tables. The draw will be at 9pm on August 9. . Hope to see you there!

Arborist/Climber - Full-Time Position
Algoma Tree Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated Arborist/Climber to join our team for a full-time position. If you're passionate about tree care, enjoy working outdoors, and meet the qualifications below, we encourage you to apply!
Responsibilities:
* Performing all aspects of tree care, including pruning, removals, and trimming.
* Operating various tree care equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, tree trimmers and bucket truck)
* Executing advanced climbing techniques with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
* Assisting with ground operations, site cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
* Adhering to all company safety policies and industry best practices.
* Providing excellent customer service and representing Algoma Tree Services professionally.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an arborist/climber.
* Strong knowledge of tree species, common pests, diseases, and proper pruning techniques.
* Proficiency in advanced climbing and rigging techniques.
* Valid driver's license (DZ or higher is an asset).
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
* Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous outdoor work in various weather conditions.
* Arborist certification (e.g., ISA Certified Arborist) is a significant asset.

Algoma Tree Services feels privileged to have played a small role in "Confluence", showcased at the Art Gallery of Algoma. The exhibition runs till January. Our team members at the time Donovan, Pete, JP, Kevin, and Nancy became a part of this story back in July, 2017.
We showed our support to this fantastic project by volunteering our services, harvesting 11 Eastern White Pine trees. A special shout-out to Adriano Dicerbo for picking us. Our participation has been an experience to remember.
