Some crews just have a special energy, and our Brucejack team is one of them. Day shift and night shift don’t often get to stop for a photo together, but when they do, the camaraderie is easy to see. Behind the muddy workwear and big smiles is a team that works hard, looks out for one another, and knows how to keep spirits high.

Alison Auramenko and Jessica Mullen recently had the opportunity to attend the PBCN Sturgeon Landing Truth & Reconciliation Gathering on behalf of our partner brand A2SKI Tek Drilling, a proud supporting sponsor of the event.

Held in Sturgeon Landing near the site of the St Therese Child of Christ Indian Old Residential School, the gathering brought community members together to honour Survivors, remember those who never returned home, and create space for connection, culture and healing.

Jessica and Alison were grateful to spend time with community members, participate in a traditional birch bark basket making session, and shared traditional meals throughout the gathering.

Handling drill rods, managing core and keeping the work moving safely takes focus, coordination and attention to detail on every shift.

At the Quebrada Blanca project in Chile, that commitment has helped our team achieve something worth being proud of: more than three years without a lost-time incident. Safety is part of our everyday routine: wearing the right PPE, keeping equipment and work areas organized, and looking out for one another.

Through our partnership in A2SKI TEK Drilling, we're honoured to support a gathering that creates space to honour Residential School Survivors, reflect on the past, and strengthen relationships through community. Held at the site of the St Therese Child of Christ Indian Old Residential School, the event brings together Survivors, families, Elders, and community members for a day of remembrance, connection, cooking, and sharing meals.

At first glance, you might notice the water lines running from the drill to the lake. But they also tell a story about the responsibility that comes with every drill site.

Water is essential to the diamond drilling process. It cools the drill bit, carries cuttings to the surface, and helps keep drilling running efficiently. It's also a resource we work hard to use responsibly.

Our crews carefully manage water use throughout each project, following site-specific environmental requirements and working to minimize our impact on the places where we operate.

Tucked into Alaska's rugged landscape at Contango Silver and Gold's Lucky Shot project, our rig almost disappears into its surroundings where drilling is helping define and expand a historic high-grade gold system in the Willow Mining District. But look a little closer and you'll notice the colours that bring the site to life: the emerald lake, the white lingering snow, the bright yellow water lines, and the red survival shack that stands out against the wilderness.

Some days end with muddy boots, dusty coveralls, and a hard-earned layer of grime. That's the nature of working in the field.

Our crews put in the effort every day, tackling challenging conditions while keeping safety at the forefront of everything they do. The work can be tough, but you'll often find the biggest smiles at the end of the shift.

Some things change. Others stay remarkably the same.

Twenty years separate these two photos. In both, Rui Luz and Paulo Palma are standing side by side at the drill: same teamwork, same dedication, same pride in the work.

The equipment has evolved. The projects have changed. But the people who built Hy-Tech Portugal, and the relationships they've forged along the way, remain at the heart of everything we do.

Thank you, Rui and Paulo, for helping write the story of the past 20 years. Here's to many more.
