Some before and after pictures of a project out in St Albert. The client had hired a previous contractor to install a paving stone sidewalk. Unfortunately it wasn't built correctly and failed after a few years. We came in and were able to re-purpose most of the old paving stones and with a few design changes, and decorative curbing, we were able to properly rebuild the sidewalks and gave the homeowner a lower maintenance yard.

We transformed a tired mature yard with a fresh new look, which included a parhway using 2" natural flagstone, decorative curbing, Belgard Zenwall flowerbed, shredded cedar mulch and sod. We were able to work around the existing mature plants and gazebo and really makes this yard look beautiful!

Landscaping a mature yard can be challenging! With the complex root system of mature trees, there is not a lot of options for edging so you can seperate materials, like grass, mulch and decorative rock. The traditional plastic and aluminum edging are next to impossible to install on top of large roots because they have to go into the ground. If you do manage to install edging, over the years, the roots will just push the edging up and out of the ground and you are left with an eyesore. Our answer to this is decorative curbing. Decorative curbing sits on top of the ground and will flex, but hold its shape, when the ground moves or heaves. Since decorative curbing is a concrete, it can be formed into any shape, color and pattern, and is quick to install, making it just as affordable as traditional edging.
