Fred Russell, a hard-working air force vet, was always an entrepreneur at heart. He owned multiple businesses in the Massey and Sudbury areas before founding Seal King in 1993. Seal King focused on asphalt repairs on personal driveways and commercial parking lots. Sadly, Fred passed away unexpectedly in October 2021. His daughter, Kim, and niece, Sara -- who both started in the business as teenage

rs -- took over the business and it was renamed Russell’s Asphalt Inc. pays homage to Fred, as the R is topped with a baseball cap, something Fred was rarely without. A kind, gentle soul, he loved his kids and lived for his grandchildren. He would be proud the next generation is continuing his legacy. Fred had a reputation for being friendly and easy to work with and the Russell’s Asphalt team will honour that. We will continue to service North Bay to Elliott Lake and Manitoulin Island with sealing and crack filling of personal driveways and sealing, crack filling, pothole repairs, and line painting of commercial parking lots.
