Starting a project with a clean and tidy environment can set the tone for a positive experience through to the finish. Good house keeping on your project site is not only important for safety, but makes work easier for subtrades who have to gain access with materials, and equipment, and just makes for a more pleasant work environment for other trades, and a sense of satisfaction for the homeowner through each step. Although this site has has to be backfilled and regraded once the foundation and floor have been completed, we still take pride in each step of the process, even the most important ones that you don’t see, like setting footing and drainage grades to keep the home and grounds safe from water and flooding, the water and sewer infrastructure that nobody sees, but we depend on daily, and the ground beneath the footings of the home to be sturdy and dependable for the entire life of the structure. Rock can be a fantastic way to add contrast to your landscaping, while easing the burden of maintaining embankments. They can also turn water control points and French drains into beautiful landscaping features. These embankments will never have to be mowed, look natural, and will naturally merge the manicured lawn area and the riverside. We can’t wait to install finish topsoil and do the fine grading on the lawn area, to refine the fine details and edging.

Approaching a new build, or the purchase of a parcel of land with building in mind can be daunting. Something prospective builders sometimes forget to consider is cost of site prep and excavation when selecting a parcel of land for a project. We offer project consulting without any obligation to use us as your excavation contractor. This takes the guess work, and surprises out of the equation when the time comes to start your project. Additionally, we can layout your build site to avoid costly oversights throughout the duration of the project. There are several ways to find efficiencies to reduce the cost of excavation, and overall project cost, including laying out the project site to maximize efficiency for your specific house design and infrastructure requirements for your particular parcel of land, designing or choosing a house plan to suit the particular building lot, septic design, as well as ground testing.
