We are looking for an experienced geomatics tech with a very strong knowledge of field surveying techniques who is able to work independently or as a crew chief. Legal surveying experience is an asset, as is CAD experience and an understanding of the field-to-finish process.
Expected education: survey/geomatics technology diploma or equivalent.
Duties include:
- Completing legal surveys
- Completing topographic and construction surveys and layout
- Interfacing with the public and other trades
- Organizing and maintaining job record data
- Survey QA/QC tasks
Required skills:
- Valid driver's license
- Expert use of total stations, GNSS (GPS), and level instruments
- High attention to detail
- Strong verbal communication
- Adaptability to change and willingness to learn new skills
