BeaverBrook Stairs

BeaverBrook Stairs Fine Custom Staircases A brief description of my business. I started Darryl's Woodproducts at age 15 cutting out pine pieces for tole painting.

Well it grew from there to furniture making. After a couple years making furniture, I realized I had to turn my skills elsewhere. I turned to commercial millwork and kitchen cabinetry which I did for most of 15 years. I did my first hardwood staircase about 12 years ago now. After that I did an odd set from time to time. It didn't take long before I turned my full concentration into how to build a

better stair than I typically saw locally. I am self taught and I dedicate myself to finding the right fit for every stair design I work on. I do not build quantity. I take pride in all that I build and find great fulfilment out of seeing the finished product.

This years Home Healthcare Lottery Home.

“Excited to share some details about this stunning staircase!

✨ The stringers may look like steel, but they’re actually expertly crafted laminations of plywood.
✨ The treads are made from 2 ½” thick solid white oak, adding both durability and elegance.
✨ The floating, self-supporting landings are also solid white oak, creating a seamless and modern design.

A perfect blend of craftsmanship and innovation!”

Lately I like being more diversified in my work. Makes things very interesting-so when a good buddy asks you if you can frame in his gazebo with some reclaimed wood and glass…well this is what you get! It’s also super exciting to have a fleet of cranes that you can use and operate like a true professional. Doug and I have been friends for 27 years and most of this time has been keeping in touch with one another about current works and advice. True friend.

One thing I really enjoy about my work lately is the opportunity to have a lot of different types of projects ongoing. Here is a couple of benches I did for a repeat client. These benches are kinda unique because I cut the trees from there property, sawed the lumber, built the pces and delivered them to their new home where the trees once stood.

A couple different benches I did for a repeat client. What’s interesting about these benches is that I cut down the trees from their property, sawed the lumber and then delivered the finished pces to them.

Well I guess it’s nice to know the face of the person behind the wheel sometimes!! Had to get a picture of this while it was mocked together in my shop for fitment of tenons. Was also the only way I could figure to weld the steel that acts as the main backbone of this really nice flared stair. I left the best for last. This is the last of 10 flights I am currently working on!!

No CNC in this small shop-just big works with tried and tested tools. One of the best investments I ever made was the sliding tablesaw. So many uses-like these clean tenons on these treads.
