We’re growing our team at Allied Construction Management and are currently hiring an experienced Site Superintendent.

With multiple large-scale commercial, multi-residential, and institutional projects underway, we’re looking for a strong leader to help drive our work in the field.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in building safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while leading trades and site teams with professionalism and purpose.

What you’ll do:

- Lead and coordinate day-to-day site operations
- Supervise subcontractors and field staff
- Run safety talks and trade meetings
- Maintain schedules, quality, and site organization
- Work closely with our Project Managers to deliver successful projects

What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Site Superintendent
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read drawings and manage multi-trade sites
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Launched under the ANC framework in 2022, the Build Your Future (BYF) training program set out to help newcomers add upon previous construction experience from their home countries. Driven by the dedication of our small team of instructors and creative planning, the project grew into a sustainable pathway to meaningful careers in Newfoundland and Labrador's trades.

Building upon that success, we are proud to announce that five BYF graduates have registered with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador's Apprenticeship and Trades Certification Division (ATCD) through the Direct Entry pathway. They will now complete a nine month Level 1 Carpentry training in just eight weeks, with full funding from the NL government (only available to Permanent Residency holders). All apprenticeship-registered students are supported by journeypersons from our top recruitment partner, Allied Construction Management Inc.. We are sincerely grateful to both ATCD and Allied Construction for making this all possible and wish the participants great success in their careers!

Check out these before and after pictures of the Mercy Centre Project!

In 2021, the Sister of Mercy vacated the historic Mercy Convent, Military Road, so that it could be converted into a shelter and affordable housing units. The project enables The Gathering Place to meet the needs of homeless men and women for decent, affordable, and safe shelter while they receive assistance and guidance to find more permanent housing. The project included renovation of four levels of the building and an addition to provide a transitional housing space and overnight shelter space. The transitional housing area will be named Mercy House; the shelter area will be named O’Callaghan’s Haven named after Mr. O’Callaghan, a very generous donor to the project. Allied Construction Management finished the project in October, 2024.

As we continue to empower newcomers pursuing careers in our province's construction industry, we had an amazing information session with recent Build Your Future graduates! They heard from Tam Francis, Apprenticeship Program Officer with the Apprenticeship and Trades Certification Division of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. Tam spoke on apprenticeship opportunities they can pursue, how to register for them, and how this can lead to becoming a journeyperson. 24 former students attended this engaging workshop, along with ANC team members. We would like to wish a major thank you to Tam and the Government of NL, as well as Allied Construction Management Inc. and the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association for helping organize this wonderful initiative!
