As we emerge from winter, we finally get to see what this beautiful project is going to look like!
The Shou Sugi Ban Eastern White Cedar vertical siding brings a bold, tactile aesthetic to the home’s exterior. The traditional Japanese charring technique deepens the wood’s natural grain, resulting in a rich, blackened finish that shifts subtly in tone under different lighting conditions.
The charred cedar offers not only dramatic visual contrast, but also enhanced durability, resistance to insects, and weather protection.
The effect is a modern home that feels grounded, elemental, and quietly sophisticated.

Honoured that our West End Oasis pool project won Second Runner Up at the annual ICF Builder Awards at in Las Vegas! And to top off the night, we were surprised with the People’s Choice Award for favourite pool! Big thank you to our clients, and everyone involved in making this project a reality.

As winter approaches, we are wrapping up work on the shell. The Shou Sugi Ban eastern white cedar cladding from will start coming to life in the new year, polishing off this beautiful piece of architecture.

Pre-construction is a vital part of our process. It allows us to visualize, plan, and prepare for a build before any work starts on site.

Renderings and BIM modelling help our team identify issues so we can work through challenging construction details well in advance. Doing so also helps us build confidence in our budget and schedule by eliminating the need to “figure it out” as we go.

Working with OG architects during this process has been a very successful collaboration and construction is ready to start very soon.
