Why load lumber inside instead of cutting outside?
The first step on every basement framing project is marking wall locations and getting all lumber stacked inside where the work is happening. Here’s why:

✅ Protects material – Lumber left in the sun can warp, and can make pieces unuseable. Rain or snow can add unwanted moisture. Indoor storage leaves materials more secure on site, protecting from theft.
✅ Keeps the site efficient – Materials sitting in the yard can block deliveries or get in the way of other trades.
✅ Saves time – Having everything on hand inside speeds up the framing process and keeps the workflow clean.
