The 1.01 acre property formerly housing Advance Rentals on Harvard Street will be sold via a tender process. Knowledgeable real estate persons were consulted to determine a value range of the property, and it will be sold in an "as is where is" condition. Tender submissions should be clearly marked "Tender for 60 Harvard Street" and can be submitted to the Curran & Briggs main office during regular business hours, with a deadline of Thursday June 22nd at 1pm.

Curran & Briggs Limited is accepting applications for a full-time seasonal
Accounts Receivable Clerk/Receptionist

Duties will include, but not limited to: posting A/R invoices in a detailed job costing and data entry system; accept and post customer payments on account; prepare and post deposits; maintain an organized filing system; monitor timely payments/call customers on overdue accounts; prepare monthly customer statements; greet customers/visitors; reception duties (including answering and directing incoming calls); general office duties as required.

Essential skills for an applicant would include: experience with computer programs including MS Excel and Word; have some office work experience; possess accurate typing skills of 50wpm and be able to work independently and work well with others.

The following attributes would be considered an asset: experience working with accounting software such as Sage 50 or Quickbooks; possess basic knowledge of accounting debits and credits; possess an accounting certificate from an accredited course program.

This position will be seasonal (to start) – May to November. Winter work will be available for vacation fill in/call in, etc and group pension and health benefits available after a probationary period.

Salary: $19.00-21.00 per hour – Monday to Friday 8am-5pm - 40 hours per week
