🏎️🏝️ 2025 OYSTER BED SPEEDWAY ISLAND IRONMEN & IRONWOMEN 🏝️🏎️
Driver: Brandon Forsyth
From: Alberton, P.E.I.
Division: Honda Outlaw
2024 Points Finish: Champion + Super Series Champion (1 Feature Win, 2 Heat Wins, 5 Feature Podiums, 9 Feature Top 5s in 10 Starts, RE/MAX Rumble Top 5 Finish, substituted for by Colin Brewer once)
Brandon Forsyth was one of only a few drivers in 2024 who embodied consistency and cleanliness with perfection. After running in the Mini Stock division for six years where he picked up Rookie of the Year honours in 2017, a Super Series championship in 2019, and a career-best third-place championship points finish in 2023 – a year when he won four features – the Alberton driver acquired a Honda to compete with the Outlaws of the west last year, and what a debut it was.
While he visited victory lane only three times, his campaign was quintessential vintage NASCAR (pre-playoff era). Only once did he finish worse than fifth across nine features (10 if we count Colin Brewer’s fourth-place substitution run on August 3rd), and he never finished any worse than seventh – technically, he did once during Twin 2 of the RE/MAX Rumble on June 29, but that was a money race – he finished fifth in the Twin 1 points race.
He never lost the season-long championship points lead all season – only once was it tied with Kendell Palmer – nor did Forsyth ever lose the Super Series points lead, and he never DNFed a single feature.
It’s been a long time since we’ve had a back-to-back champion in either of our 4-cylinder divisions – can Brandon Forsyth make history in arguably the track’s toughest division this summer? The 2024 double champion and the other Honda Outlaws start their season on Sunday, May 18th at 2pm for our 40th Anniversary Victoria Day Long Weekend Season Opener and Demolition Derby.
