As a proud member of the Squamish Nation and on behalf of Cedar Hat Pinpoint Ventures Inc., I recognize Orange Shirt Day and the importance of honoring the Survivors of residential schools. This day is a poignant reminder that Every Child Matters, and it calls upon all of us to reflect on the lasting impact of residential schools on Indigenous communities. We stand in solidarity with Survivors, their families, and communities, committing ourselves to truth, reconciliation, and fostering a future where the experiences and cultures of all Indigenous peoples are respected and celebrated.

An excellent move and milestone for the Squamish Nation and Nch’ḵay̓ Development Corporation

Looking forward to working with the Nation on the next phases of this historic project at Sen̓áḵw along with OPTrust 🏗️👷👷‍♀️

Today, we are excited to share that the Nation has entered into a restructured partnership at Sen̓áḵw. OPTrust—one of Canada’s largest pension fund investors—has acquired Westbank’s ownership stake in Phases One and Two of the project. OPTrust and the Squamish Nation each now have a 50% ownership interest in these phases.

In a major milestone, the Nation will secure 100% ownership of Phases Three and Four, giving us greater freedom to shape the project’s future on our own terms. As the first three towers of Phase One near completion we look forward to rebuilding a community that reflects the strength, vision and future of the Squamish People.
