👉 Yes, trimming the end corners of your Pan-Abode can absolutely affect the structure if it’s done incorrectly.
In a Pan-Abode (and any log home), the corner log ends are part of the saddle-notch system that locks the walls together. They should never be completely cut off or removed. Doing so can allow the logs to pull away from each other and create structural issues.
Minor trimming may be possible only if a sufficient stub end is left in place, and even then, it’s best to consult a qualified structural engineer before making any changes.
