Did you know that Redwoods are some of the oldest and largest trees in the world?! Some Redwoods have been verified to be up to 3,000 years old! 🤯🌲🌲

LIGHT... Is it a resource?

It is, and it is lifegiving. In the Redwoods, the old trees have spread out enough that light penetrates every layer of the forest. This fuels a diversity of plants that thrive from the forest floor to the highest branches. Life teems here.

But it can also be a life-changing resource for us, taking its time to slowly illuminate and highlight places we may not have noticed earlier.

When you visit Redwood, hike a trail with the early morning light. Feel the sense of rebirth as the forest emerges from its nightly sleep. For some, it fills a spot in their soul. But then... Return to the same trail in the late afternoon when the forest is lit from the opposite direction. You may be amazed at what you missed the first time around. Will this be your favorite trail ever? Maybe... It's all about the light.
