We’re welcoming an exciting new addition to the fleet: the BBQ Trailer!

A labour of love for Danny and Rhett, the BBQ is B&B’s mobile barbecue trailer - allowing our teams to have a hot lunch while staying on site and spending quality time together.

This beauty couldn’t have been possible without the dedication and ingenuity of so many - Vinyl Labs, Heavy Metal Welding and Brother's Auto Body, just to name a few - but it was Rhett and Danny’s vision that truly brought it to life.

The BBQ will be making the rounds while the weather is good. What tastes better than a freshly grilled burger and a cold drink on your lunch break? And spending it with your crew makes it even sweeter.

A big thank you to our team members for bringing this incredible energy and making the BBQ Trailer happen. It was an idea that was kicked around for years - and now it’s cruising around the Lower Mainland! 🍔

“You’re killing me, Smalls…!”

The B&B Bulldozers were in top form this weekend, showing off their skills in this past weekend’s slo-pitch tournament at MacLeod Athletic Park in Langley. They held their own, even taking home a win on Sunday!

She’s a B&B Baby - twice over!

Little Emerson Mayer joined the crew this summer - a project completed by two of our employees, Travis and Melissa!

While she does look precious in pink, we have to admit that black and yellow suit her well. Welcome to the family, little one! We get the feeling that civil construction is already in your blood.

Today, Matt Neef’s crew bought a round of A&W Restaurants Teen burgers to support Burgers To Beat MS Day. $2 from each burger goes back to MS Canada.

On a beautiful sunny day, can you beat a burger and root beer with your buds? Most of us know someone living with MS; if you don’t feel like making dinner… maybe it’s Teen burgers and onion rings tonight?

This past weekend was a blast at the Langley RibFest! Our booth was hopping with our annual tradition of the Lollipop Pull.

A huge thank you to our volunteer squad for showing up all weekend, earning donations for Rotary and connecting with the public. We have such a great time at these amazing events, and RibFest did not disappoint this year.

Good weather, excellent food and a fantastic crowd - how could you not love it?

Behind the Paddle is an opportunity to showcase the hardworking TCPs and LCTs working to keep our crews and communities safe each day.

Today’s feature is Jess, a traffic control person that we subcontract through the Universal Group and regularly works on our sites.

Jess is a dedicated employee who values safety. He shares that he enjoys working on B&B sites - because not only are the crew members focused on safety, but they also ensure that he feels like he’s a part of the team when he’s on site. He feels welcomed by the crew and that they appreciate the traffic team’s efforts to ensure everyone gets home safe after their shift.

Jess, thank you for your hard work and positive attitude! We’re grateful to have you on site!

We B&Bers like efficiency: so, why not have two babies at the same time?

Kimmy Thandi thought she’d up the productivity and made these two gorgeous B&B twins: Nyra and Zaidyn. Both are proudly sporting their black and yellow swag, and are counting down the days until they can get their Little Worker hard hats!

A huge congrats to Kimmy, Gobind and Aesyn on their newest family members. They’re a pretty cute pair!

Future crew members on site! 🦺

These two excavator-admirers have been making a habit of dragging chairs out to their driveway in order to watch our pipe crews work on our 172nd street job in South Surrey. Superintendent, Comard Postma, brought them a couple of our B&B Junior Worker Hard Hats, and they gladly popped them on!

Maybe we’ll see you both on site one day, girls! There’s a big future in civil construction.

Today’s Behind the Paddle feature is a familiar face to many of our B&B crew members: Doris!

Doris loves her job as a traffic control supervisor: she takes the responsibility of protecting her crew seriously. She shares that the job is more than just placing cones - it’s about creating an environment where her team members feel protected so they can get their job done without worry. She feels that her crew is like her family, and she wants each and every one of them to go home safe.

Doris enjoys smiling and waving to the community members as well. She’s a dedicated mother and grandmother and loves seeing children marvel at the hustle and bustle of construction sites.

Thank you for your strong work ethic and unwavering loyalty, Doris! We’ll see you on site!
