On a renovation job, there’s no concrete plan.

Ceilings change. Offsets happen. What worked on the second floor doesn’t work on the third.

“You’re trying things. Some things don’t work out. You try a different way. You get it going.”

That’s not winging it. That’s the job.

The guys who are good at this aren’t the ones who follow the plan. They’re the ones who know what to do when the plan changes.

Very proud of our team working on this condo on Giles. 🛠️

When you’re in the trades, you learn a lot more than how to work with your hands. Patience. Confidence. How to stand your ground. How to teach others. Proud to have this mentality from our team on our job sites!

This week, our shop was full. Metal being cut, bent, and insulated by hand, and right alongside our senior guys, co-op students learning the trade for the first time.

We’re proud of the work we do. And we’re more proud of the people doing it. Windsor-Essex has trusted us for 40+ years. That trust lives in the capable hands of this team.

Meet Parker. Second-year apprentice plumber, 18 years old, already two years into his trade.

While a lot of kids his age are still figuring out what’s next, Parker’s on site in Tecumseh, prepping roof drains and building toward the life he sees: his ticket, a house, a good paying job.

You start young, you work hard, and the future you’re building toward becomes your present more and more each day.

Nice work Parker 🙌

💦 A little rain never hurt anyone, especially not Parker and Joe.

These two were out on a custom home build today getting the plumbing ready so the general contractor can pour cement tomorrow. Proud to have a team who steps into 10 inches of rain water to get it done for the next trade in line.

There’s a moment on a job site that never gets old. Watching a crew that just works.

Everyone has their role, and everyone has their quirks.
But underneath that, apprentices are growing into leaders. Journeymen are passing down 16 years of experience, and apprentices overcome the fear of trying something new.

It’s a cycle that’s been running at Encore for 40 years. It’s what got us to 40 years.

This is what we’re most proud of.

Emilio came to us with a lot of skill already on his belt. Power lines. Carpentry. Building barns. Pouring concrete. A person like that, you can just tell they’re not afraid to be bad at something new. It’s a natural part of beginning any trade skill.

Second year apprentice now, and he carries that same attitude into every day on the job. Try it. Get better. Show up tomorrow and do it again.

Appreciate the mindset leadership and glad to have you with us Emilio!

☀️Every spring, there’s that moment when the A/C kicks on for the first time and you cross your fingers.

😬If yours has been showing signs that it won’t make it another summer, don’t wait for it to quit on you in July.

🔨Have a licensed tech come take a proper look before Windsor’s heavy summer hits.

👷‍♀️They’ll come to your house, runs the diagnostics, and can show you where it’s at.

⚙️If a replacement is the right call, we make it easy. Flexible financing, a one-day install, and Bryant equipment built to run efficiently for the next decade.

Not every day in the trades is glamorous. Actually, few are. But the best part of the trades isn’t the glamour, it’s the glory. We move the world forward. We build the spaces where businesses and people thrive. A day in the life of a plumber may not look exciting sometimes, but it’s important every time.

Nice work team.
