A little summer recap of around the nursery and a BIG thank you. 💚

To everyone who has visited our nursery, stopped at the roadside stand, picked up a few plants, shared a post, or supported us since the beginning we appreciate you more than you know.🌱

It’s been so special watching this little dream grow with the support of such an amazing community.

And we’re not done yet! 🍂🌿 We’ll be here throughout the fall with more native plants and plenty of growing still to do.

🍂 IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO PLANT THIS FALL!🌿

Think spring is the only time to add native plants to your garden? Think again! Many native plants can be successfully planted in the late summer and fall. 🌱

As temperatures begin to cool, newly planted natives experience less heat stress and can focus more energy on establishing strong root systems. Fall moisture can also help plants settle into their new homes before winter arrives. 🍂💧

That means by the time spring rolls around, your plants already have a head start! 🌿

☀️ For sunny and dry areas, consider native plants like:

💜 Wild Geranium
🌿 Culver’s Root
🌸 Dense Blazing Star
🌲 White Pine
🦋 Wild Bergamot

Of course, planting preferences can vary depending on the species, so always consider the individual plant and its growing conditions. But don’t assume gardening season is over just because summer is winding down! 🌱

Our nursery will be taking a short seasonal break August 9th–September 19th.

✨ Before we do, be sure to stop by this Saturday! We'll be at the nursery from 9 AM–12 PM and would love to help you choose the perfect native plants, answer your gardening questions, and make sure you're all set before our little break.

🌼 Good news! Our self-serve roadside stand will remain stocked and open daily from 8 AM–8 PM, so you can still shop at your convenience while the nursery is closed.
