This is a perfect example of the efficiency of helical piers. Sono-tube installation would have required substantial excavation, forming, concrete curing time and backfill. We drilled a quick six in less than 4 hours with ZERO excavation and the contractor was able to begin the project immediately.

For the last couple nights we have been installing piers at the Thunder Bay International Airport in order to support a new PAPI light system. PAPI lights,( Precision Approach Path Indicator )are visual navigation aids which provide guidance information to help pilots acquire and maintain the correct approach angle to an airport. Being that these lights have nearly zero tolerance to movement and vibration, custom 14' long piers were installed to ensure that they will maintain proper adjustment for as long as they remain in service.

Did you know that our helical piers are perfectly suited to serve as impact protection bollards? This customer shares a property line with a busy warehousing company. Due to the heavy truck traffic in the adjacent lot, he was concerned about the possibility of damage to his air conditioner and gas meter. Now he can breath a little easier.
