This week we excavated a foundation for a new house build and the soil conditions were not suitable for the footings since this particular property was built up with soil in the past, so we had to excavate the fill to the native soil. And due to the high water table we had to pour a mud mat immediately behind the excavation, which made it a bit challenging and time consuming.
