Look at this wild curly figure hiding inside a gigantic silver maple we took down! šŸ”„ Instead of straight grain, the wood fibers grew in these dramatic waves and ripples, 3D, shimmering effect you see when you split it open.
Big old trees like this one build up massive internal pressures from weight, wind, and years of growth.
